The ads for ESPN’s SportsCenter have a reputation for being pretty incredible. (Seriously, checkout their YouTube Playlist.)
The latest 30-second spot features Metallica struggling to find work since the retirement of New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera, who used “Enter Sandman” as his entrance music from the bullpen.
I’m not sure what my favorite moment is: The thought of John Daly having an entrance song, which would be brilliant, or Kirk Hammett’s heartbreak plea of “First lesson’s free!”
While this SportsCenter ad is definitely one of my new favorites, I’ll still always have a soft spot in my heart for Arnold Palmer’s ad.
