LISTEN: 911 Call Claims Scott Stapp Threatened To Kill President Obama

NEW YORK, NY - APRIL 20: Creed's lead singer Scott Stapp performs onstage at the Beacon Theatre on April 20, 2012 in New York City.
Oh boy…just when you think the whole Scott Stapp situation couldn’t get any stranger, it does.

TMZ got a hold of a 911 call from Stapp’s wife Jaclyn and her sister trying to report his erratic behavior to the authorities in an attempt to get the Creed frontman checked into a psych ward for observation.  According to Jaclyn’s sister on the call, Stapp had just taken off on a bicycle with no shirt on, a bottle of pills and a backpack filled with paperwork that Stapp thought was from the C.I.A that supposed instructed him to assassinate President Obama.

Don’t believe what you just read?  Take a listen to that portion of the call below.  (There’s only a little over two minutes of audio, but the entire phone call was a whopping 40 minutes!)

Once the dispatcher got off the phone with Stapp’s wife and sister-in-law, police were able to track him down, but according to the police, Stapp didn’t show enough signs that would have allowed them to check him in for observation.

Considering all the details about Stapp’s physical and mental health that have come out as of late, I bet they wished they would have done something more.
