David Gilmour’s 2015 is shaping up to be a busy one.
Per his official website, Gilmour has a series of European tour dates scheduled for this September, with the tour culminating in a three-night stand at London’s famed Royal Albert Hall, marking the first tour dates from Gilmour since 2006.
As for his upcoming solo album, Gilmour tells RollingStone.com that “It’s coming along very well,” and that it should be released at some point in 2015.
Gilmour must’ve been inspired to get back at it after the release of Pink Floyd’s The Endless River in November 2014, which went on to become the most pre-ordered album in Amazon UK history, beating out the likes of Coldplay, One Direction and (believe it or not) Susan Boyle. It only proves that after nearly five decades, Pink Floyd is still one of the best draws in music.
