We've known Jack White's Dead Weather was coming back -- now we know when.
Dodge & Burn, the all-star quartet's third album, and first in five years, is due out September 25 via White's Third Man Records label. It follows 2009's Horehound and 2010's Sea of Cowards, as well as a series of seven-inch singles since then, and singer Alison Mosshart, also of The Kills, tells us the Dead Weather -- which also includes Dean Fertita of Queens of the Stone Age and Jack Lawrence of the Greenhornes and White's Raconteurs -- has worked on the album for the past three years:
"The record itself came between 2012 and now. Obviously Jack has been on tour all year, Dean's been out all year with Queens. I've done some things, (Lawrence) has been on tour with City & Colour. It's been day or two sessions when we're all in Nashville at the same time, which is the most rare thing in the world, that we get days to work on stuff. It happened in bits and pieces in that time."
The Dead Weather is not planning to tour to support "Dodge & Burn," however, due to the band members' other commitments.
