The WDHA Homegrown Spotlight blooper reel

It's that time of year again, time to set new goals, reflect on the past year, and appreciate all of the silly times , crazy times, and yes even some foul language, from time to time.  It's time for the WDHA Homegrown Spotlight blooper reel of 2015!!!!   Every year I feel completely honored to be a part of the local original music scene in our area.  I love each and every band I invite to perform for the blog, and appreciate each one in its own way.  They are all unique, talented, and even my friends.

We started the WDHA Homegrown Spotlight blog years ago, and it has seen many bands, and a few producers, but the idea behind it has always been the same.  We aim to bring you local music that you may not have heard of, and we hope you can support them as we do!  We also bring in the music in an acoustic setting for the blog, so you can really see the raw and true talent that goes into a band's writing.

In addition, another change this year was your host, me, being pregnant!  Towards the second half of the year, I changed the format of the blog on our website to a written sit down interview with each band, instead of a live one with me in the film.  I decided that it was truly about the music to begin with, and I just felt really funny looking with a pregnant belly on video!  Just being honest.

Hands down, some of the most talented people in this area, I thank you WDHA Homegrown Spotlight bands of every year, and especially 2015!!! We had a PHENOMENAL year!!!  Also thanks a TON to my right hand man, John Hodorovych, who not only has helped me find bands, but is the camera man, producer, editor, you name it!  I couldn't do the blog without him, I thank you beyond words John for your time, patience, and talent!!!   Even the bands have all gotten to know him, and love him:)

Also thanks to our newest Homegrown Spotlight team member Mike Bufis, who filmed and produced a few of the 2015 band's blogs, and produced this blooper video!! We are honored and ecstatic to have you on our team, and can't wait for 2016 to work together on more!!!! We love you Mike and your hunger and passion to be on our team!  Mike is a drummer as well, which has really helped add to our team "Homegrown Spotlight".

Finally, thank you to WDHA for letting me work with our local music scene on a daily, weekly basis.  Thank you to the fans too, without you none of this would exist!

Ear muffs for the kiddies!?  Nah, we use the fun "bleep" for those times... Get ready to watch some of our silly clips from 2015!!! From my growing belly (and family) to you and yours, Happy New Year everyone!!!
