Joe Perry Actually Recorded With Pitbull

Turns out that was no random guest appearance with Pitbull for Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry during the finale of the Grammy Awards on Monday night (February 15).

Perry actually does guest on the Pitbull song, "Bad Man," that was performed there, along with blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and Robin Thicke. Perry joined the Pitbull crew on NBC's The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon for a reprise of the performance, and he's slated to play it again during Pitbull's concert Thursday night (February 18) in Miami.

Meanwhile, Perry -- who also performed with Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and the rest of the Hollywood Vampires at the Grammys -- is working on his next solo album, the follow-up 2009's Have Guitar Will Travel. He tells us it's likely to be a mostly instrumental set, which he's working on while Aerosmith is on ice, primarily to let frontman Steve Tyler finish his solo album:

"We've all got different projects going on on the side and...We've been at it for a long time and there's things I want to do...These days a lot of that doesn't matter; you can go out and record, you can record in a hotel room, for chrissakes, and throw it online and there you go, there's some new material."
