Jack White may still be taking a break from the road, but that doesn’t mean he’s taking a break from other activities, namely getting involved with local groups in Nashville, the headquarters of his Third Man Records.
Per The Tennessean, White has been named to a new 45-member panel by Nashville Mayor Megan Barry that will study gender inequity in the city, and it’s something that White’s clearly passionate about in a speech he gave at the press conference announcing said panel. (Read the speech in its entirety in the Facebook post below.)
Today, Jack joined Nashville Mayor Megan Barry in launching the Nashville Council on Gender Equity. Read Jack's full speech below and find out more here: http://www.tennessean.com/story/new... thank you mayor barry and thank you for inviting me to be a part of the council on gender equity.
As for musical efforts, there’s still no sign of activity on White’s part as of now, but we must say that we’re pretty pumped about the exclusive Pearl Jam recordings Third Man Records is putting out soon. Get all the details over at ThridManRecords.com!
