Brian May Updates Fans On His Health

Queen guitarist Brian May wants us to know he's feeling better after a "persistent illness" forced him off the road this fall.

May has issued a Twitter post reading, "Just want to say thanks, dear twitter folks -- for all your kind wishes. I'm still taking it relatively slowly, but getting stronger. Bri."

May, who canceled 11 Candlelight Concerts with Kerry Ellis, has not revealed specifics about his health issue. May and Ellis will be releasing a new album, Anthems II, during the spring after releasing a single, "Roll With You," this year.

Queen drummer Roger Taylor, meanwhile, recently hinted that he and May might record some new material with current Queen frontman Adam Lambert.
