Often called "The Father of Rock 'n' Roll," Chuck Berry was found dead by St. Charles County police in a residence outside of St. Louis Saturday.
In a post on the St. Charles County police Facebook page, officers responded to a medical emergency around 12:40 p.m. (1:40 p.m. ET) at a residence and found an unresponsive Berry inside.

Berry, widely considered one of the pioneers of rock 'n' roll music, was known for his songs such as "Maybellene," "Roll Over Beethoven," "Rock and Roll Music," and "Johnny B. Goode."
