A Salute to the Riffs of 'Full Moon Fever'

Tom Petty's Full Moon Fever was released 28 years ago this week.  There are many takeaways from this album, but one of the things that stand out are its incredibly memorable riffs.

When you considering the first three singles off Full Moon Fever (“I Won’t Back Down,” “Runnin’ Down A Dream” and “Free Fallin”), all three classic rock mainstays, it’s no surprise that this album went on to sell five million copies in the U.S., making it Petty’s most commercially successful album in his entire catalog.

In honor of its anniversary being during "Guitar Month," enjoy the videos to those monster singles and riffs below!
