Rusty Young On All Mixed Up

Rusty Young has been the backbone of Poco, one of country-rock's seminal bands for nearly 50 years.

His signature pedal steel sound, derived from trying to make the instrument sound like a Hammond B3 organ, is unmistakable.

He is about to release his first-ever solo album and he called into "All Mixed Up" to talk with Jim Monaghan about his new record, his "failed" retirement, and what's on tap for Poco's 50th anniversary in 2018.
