Dave Grohl’s Note To Fan Will Warm Your Heart

Dave Grohl has scored more good guy points this week when he comforted the husband of a Foo Fighters' fan who recently passed away.

Jon Plane of Devon, England, launched a social media request for the Foos to dedicate "Everlong" to his late wife Laura during this weekend's Glastonbury Festival performance in the UK. Grohl wrote Plane a personal note, which has been making the rounds online, saying, "Jon -- Dave here. Heard about Laura. Sending you much love + hope + light. I'll be thinking of yous at Glasto. Take care mate."

Jon Plane told Britain's New Musical Express that, "I can picture Laura's little face smiling about it. It is incredible. I am over the moon. Even if Foo Fighters don't dedicate the song to Laura, she would have loved (Grohl's note) anyway. But what I got from it is that it is going to happen. It is incredible. Laura must have engineered this somehow as I was having a really bad week after her funeral, when it hit me like a wave...I saw (Grohl's) message on Tuesday. I was blown away. The power of social media is crazy, but incredible."

While she was battling cancer, Laura Plane campaigned and raised more than 480,000 for the breast cancer awareness organization CoppaFeel.

The Foos' Glastonbury show is a make-good for the 2015 show the group canceled after Grohl broke his leg.
