Farrell is joined by Lorde, Tommy Chong and Tom Waits, as well as industry executives in reviewing entries from more than 130 countries in 23 genre categories. The grand prize is $25,000 in cash and prizes, while another $125,000-plus is split between 70 category winners. The contest, which started during 2002, is open to both professional and amateur songwriters.
