Matt Cameron, the drummer for Soundgarden and Pearl Jam, will be stepping out on his own this fall with a solo album.
Cameron has posted a teaser video via both bands’ social media revealing that the set will be called “Cavedweller” and will be released on September 22, featuring nine songs and clocking in at just under 30 minutes. No other details were announced about the set.
Cameron joined Soundgarden during 1986 and has played on all the group’s albums, and he’s been with Pearl Jam since 1998, getting inducted with the group into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April. He’s also been in the side bands Temple of the Dog, Hater and Wellwater Conspiracy and has recorded with the likes of Smashing Pumpkins, Rush’s Geddy Lee, Eleven, Peter Frampton, Prodigy, Gamma Ray 7 and others.
