Jack White Named Keynote Speaker at Vinyl Record Conference
Jack White will be returning to his hometown next month to thump the drum for vinyl again.
White will deliver the keynote speech for Making Vinyl, a conference taking place on November 6-7 at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel in Detroit; White’s Third Man Pressing is one of the event’s sponsors and will offer tours of its plant, which opened earlier this year, during the conference.
In a statement, Making Vinyl producer Bryan Ekus says that, “Jack White is the perfect keynoter for Making Vinyl because he knows first-hand what it takes to set up a new vinyl factory.” Other keynote speakers include Darryl “DMC” McDaniels from Run-DMC and Record Store Day co-founder Michael Kurtz, along with various other vinyl manufacturers, retailers, label executives and more.
The conference will also feature the Alex Awards for achievement in vinyl manufacturing. More information can be found at MakingVinyl.com.
