Rock Candy

Maynard James Keenan has no sympathy for fans angered by A Perfect Circle‘s harsh policy banning cell phone photos or videos during its concerts.

The group recently ejected more than 60 fans who were trying to use their cell phone from a concert on Saturday (November 4) in Reading, Pa., spawning a litany of complaints. In response to an Instagram comment he received on a recent photo, Keenan wrote, “No. Recording. Of. Any. Kind. For. 25. Years. Guided experience. Unplug and enjoy the ride.”

Keenan’s other bands, Tool and Puscifer, have similar policies.

A Perfect Circle is on the road through December 4 in advance of a new album the group plans to release next year. It’s already released a single called “The Doomed” and has been playing other new songs during the shows.
