Over the course of her career, Emmylou Harris has crossed musical boundaries from rock to country to bluegrass and back again.
Her soaring voice first came to the attention of many via her work with the legendary Gram Parsons before branching out as a solo artist.
Emmylou is passionate about animals (sound familiar, WDHA listeners?) and her Bonaparte's Retreat Dog Rescue is dedicated to providing nurturing care for adoptable dogs when their allotted time at a shelter has elapsed.
Emmylou called into WDHA to chat with Jim Monaghan on "All Mixed Up" about A Nashville Christmas premiering on GetTV on December 7, her various musical projects, and of course Bonaparte's Retreat.
For more information on Bonaparte's Retreat, you can check out their website, or their Facebook page.
