U2 capped off a busy album release week by appearing on Saturday Night Live as the show's musical guest.

The band released their 14th studio album Songs of Experience on Friday (December 1) and performed "American Soul" and "Get Out of Your Own Way," both tracks from that album.

Perhaps it was just me, but Bono's vocals seemed to get drowned out, especially by The Edge's backing vocals, but other than that, it was a pretty solid live performance.
