David Draiman’s Holiday Card Is A ‘Star Wars’ Fan’s Dream
Disturbed frontman David Draiman is thrilling friends with his holiday card this year, a parody of the Star Wars poster art that features photos of Draiman and his family in Star Wars guise taken by photographer Sanjayn Patel.
Draiman has also released a behind-the-scenes video of the photo shoot that he’s sharing on social media.
Draiman has been in “space” before, of course; During the summer, NASA used the group’s cover of Simon & Garfunkel‘s “The Sound Of Silence” in a video for the International Space Station.
Disturbed, meanwhile, has been quiet, though group members spoke about releasing an acoustic EP in the future. Guitarist Dan Donegan told us during the group’s last tour that Disturbed, which emerged during 2015 from a four-year hiatus, is keeping its plans flexible these days:
“It’s so hard to say…Being away from our families, y’know, we’re all dads and husbands and we’ll have to see how that weighs out on our decision at the time, too. It’s so hard to say this early on. My first instinct would be, like, to kind of continue. I don’t anticipate us taking a long hiatus like this. I think if there was some break it would be minimal. I’d assume we’ll all be on the same page as that.”
