Rock Candy

Music notes are funny, aren’t they?  If you’re looking for a great example of this, check out this major key version of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”

This oddly delightful rendition of this rock classic was uploaded to Vimeo by user “Sleep Good” about two days ago and for obvious reasons has since gone viral.  Hearing the undeniably upbeat sounding version paired with the same music video we all know an love takes everything to a new level.  The best part is how janitor goes from swaying creepily to the pep rally from hell to just kind of a sweet older man enjoying some music.

The cherry on top of this juxtaposition sundae is that the major key version is title “Teen Sprite,” which is simply splendid.
