After Mike Shinoda surprised fans last week with his new EP Post Traumatic, he’s now announced another big first.

Shinoda will be performing his first ever solo gig at the Summer Sonic festival taking place August 18-19 in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan.

While he is branching out solo, Shinoda share via Twitter that Linkin Park has “every intention on continuing” after the shocking death of lead singer Chester Bennington.
