James Hetfield has been cast in the upcoming film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, And Vile. The film explores the relationship between serial killer Ted Bundy and his girlfriend, who are being portrayed by Zac Efron and Lily Collins, respectively.
Hetfield will be playing Officer Bob Hayward, the first law enforcement officer to arrest Bundy. This will mark Hetfield’s first dramatic film role. Extremely Wicked… is being directed by Joe Berlinger who also directed and produced the 2004 documentary Metallica: Some Kind of Monster.
…In other Metallica news, the band honored the birthday of late bassist Cliff Burton over the weekend during their show in Turin, Italy by playing “Orion” for the first time in nearly a year. Lars Ulrich shared the video below of the performance via Twitter.
