BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA - SEPTEMBER 10: (L-R) K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton of the band Judas Priest perform on stage at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on September 10, 2008 in Brisbane, Australia.

It looks like this current back-and-forth between Judas Priest and KK Downing may have reached its end, at least regarding some accusations as to who is playing guitar on their upcoming album Firepower.

Remember yesterday how Rob Halford was not happy about Downing insinuating that Glenn Tipton wasn’t really playing on Priest’s new album?  Looks Downing has seen the error of his previous statement and is clarifying his original comments.

Downing released the following statement to his Facebook page:

K.K. Downing's Steel Mill

K.K. wants to refer to and clarify his original statement as he feels parts of it were regretfully misinterpreted- Hi everyone, just to clarify that my complimenting Andy Sneap as I did was no more...

So, at least that little drama is settled.  Of course, he mentioned nothing about taking back not being approached to fill in for Tipton on the band’s upcoming tour, who’s not partaking due to his battle with Parkinson’s disease.
