According to WIS10, the two were passengers in a vehicle that had a trailer attached, with a race car and tools inside.
For unknown reasons, the vehicle crashed into an area near a creek on Interstate 85.
Hylton and his son were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the vehicle was able to be rescued, and was transported to a nearby hospital.
No other details were immediately known regarding the details of the crash.
