Could KISS Continue Without Original Members?
Is it just a brand…a logo…or does who’s behind the makeup matter.
Both Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley have suggested that a KISS farewell tour will happen in the near future, perhaps even 2019. But KISS’s manager says he thinks the band could continue on after its original members have all retired.
Manager Doc McGhee compared KISS to characters like Superman who are played by different actors. He says KISS could continue “as long as these kids walk out there and they have that makeup and they have that attitude and they have a great ****ing visual show.”
KISS’s farewell has been heavily rumored ever since the band tried to trademark the phrase “The End Of The Road.” Gene Simmons recently acknowledged “We can’t keep doing this forever.”
Would you see KISS even if no original members remained? Do you think we could see this with other bands?
