Frances Bean Cobain can finally move on from her divorce from Isaiah Silva, albeit without one of her late father’s guitars.

Frances and Silva have been battling it out in court for months over Kurt Cobain’s 1959 martin D-18E acoustic guitar, which he famously played during Nirvana’s episode of MTV Unplugged.  Silva contended that Frances gave the guitar to him as a gift, while Frances said she would never have given away the guitar because of its significance.

However, per TMZ, Silva has been awarded the guitar as part of the divorce settlement, but this is actually a good thing for Frances.  As a result, she does not owe Silva any spousal support, of which he requested a whopping $25,000 per month. She also gets the home they purchased while married.

Bold prediction:  Silva will likely end up selling the guitar to an auction house, where it will likely go for big money.  Like many musical artifacts, there’s a good chance Frances could get the guitar back via auction, which is a bummer, but it’s certainly better than paying your ex $25,000 a month.
