In the last preview before the big reissue of Appetite For Destruction coming out tomorrow (June 29,) listeners can enjoy the “Piano Version” of Guns N’ Roses iconic epic that was recorded as part of the band’s 1986 Sound City recording session.
“November Rain,” of course, would eventually be released on Use Your Illusion I in 1991, so it’s pretty fascinating that that song had been in the works for years before an official studio version was released. Also, it so weird to not hear Slash’s massive solo on the version below after being conditioned to air-guitar to it after all these years.
