Two German Seniors Breakout of Nursing Home to Attend Metal Festival

It’s incredibly un-metal to paraphrase a Bette Midler song, but these two men are my heroes and everything I would like to be when I’m in my twilight years.

German outlet DW.com reports that two senior citizens escaped their nursing home last Friday (August 3) to attend Wacken Open Air, the world’s largest metal festival.

While the two men were reportedly “disoriented and dazed,” police spokeswoman Merle Neufeld said, “They obviously like the metal festival.”

Well, of course they did!  The lineup was stacked with the likes of Judas Priest, Ghost, Helmet, Steel Panther and countless others!  

Keep raising hell, you old coots!  We salute you.
