Slash Has Enough Material To Just Perform His Solo Work On Solo Tour
Slash has been building his catalog for many years, and now he can finally detach from Guns ‘N’ Roses or Velvet Revolver, at least on his Solo Tour.
In a recent interview quoted by Ultimate Classic Rock, he shares his thought process, noting that his first album had so many collaborations on it that he still had to do a few of each band’s work on top of the solo pieces.
After the self-titled album, he’s added a few more albums, and says the following:
“World On Fire, at that point, we had a pretty good catalog of our own stuff, but I was still digging playing ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ and whatnot. Then I hook up with Guns N’ Roses, so now, I’ve played all those songs for the last two years. So I’m sort of like, ‘Okay, we don’t have to do any more Guns N’ Roses songs.’ We have enough to do.”
Considering the choices of songs, and the range that Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators can produce, fans of Slash and Kennedy will get their money’s worth, rather than feeling like they are at a covers compilation.
