It's hard to put Jorma Kaukonen into any one singular musical genre.
Originally coming out of the West Coast folk scene, he was a founding member of the Jefferson Airplane whose 1967 album Surrealistic Pillow is regarded as one of the most important records of 1967.
He explored both acoustic and electric blues with Hot Tuna and his solo career has further explored his love of the blues.
Jorma has just published his biography Been So Long: My Life and Music and called into "All Mixed Up" to talk with Jim Monaghan about the book and his career.
