Forget about Thunderstruck; Dave Grohl’s pre-show drinking ritual might become rock’s next great drinking game, but it’s certainly for more seasoned drinkers.

Grohl drummer Taylor Hawkins recently gave an interview to 95.5 KLOS where he spilled the beans about what exactly he drinks about an hour before showtime, and the breakdown goes something like this:

60 minutes until showtime:  One Coors Light.
50 minutes until showtime:  Shot of Jagermeister, finish first Coors Light.
40-30 minutes until showtime:  About 2-3 more shots of Jager with guests backstage, another Coors Light
20 minutes until showtime:  Another Coors Light
15 minutes until showtime:  Guests have left.  Now it’s just the band.  Grohl starts serving up and taking Jager shots with the band.
Heading to the stage:  Grab another Coors for the show and finish the last of the Jager.

All in all, Grohl will ingest about 4 Coors Lights and at least 5-6 shots of Jager.

As previously mentioned, this type of drinking is only for people that can really handle their booze, but I can’t help but feel like this after learning this new tidbit about Grohl.
