Collier, a ten-year-old boy in attendance at the Foos’ show in Kansas City, Miss., was invited on stage by Dave Grohl and asked if he played guitar and what songs he knew. Collier responded saying he knew a lot of Metallica songs. What ensued was a mini jam of “Enter Sandman” and then Collier also played a little bit of “Welcome Home (Sanitarium)” and “Wherever I May Roam.” Grohl, the mensch that he is, then gifted his guitar to young Collier. Grohl then playfully said, “If I see that shit on eBay next week, I’m gonna find you, Collier.”
The icing on top of this already incredible cake? Even Metallica saluted young Collier!
