Alexandre Schneider/Getty ImagesProbably the most unexpected piece of rock news to happen over the weekend came via LeBron James’ first regular season home game as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, who were taking on the visiting Houston Rockets.
A scuffle happened with a little more than four minutes left in the fourth quarter between Lakers guard Rajon Rondo and Rockets guard Chris Paul, and perhaps the person who was most heated about the exchange was a courtside Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis, who appears to yell at an exiting Paul and most definitely flips off a member of the Rockets team staff.
Kiedis would be forced to leave the Staples Center after the incident, and honestly, rightfully so. However, should we really be surprised by the intensity of Kiedis considering he and his bandmates wrote a shameless ode to Lakers great Magic Johnson cleverly titled “Magic Johnson”?
