Rock Candy

The devastating wildfires in Southern California have led to local firefighters working round the clock in an attempt to stifle the massive flames.  Their tireless efforts have not gone unnoticed by local residents, including Dave Grohl, who stopped by a local firehouse to feed hungry firefighters some of his own barbecue.

Calabasas, Calif.’s Fire Station 68 shared the photo below to their Instagram with the caption, “It was awesome to get a visit tonight from Dave Grohl of the @foofighters.  He also treated us to some of his own @backbeatbbq. Thanks Dave! It was excellent!”

Leave it to Dave Grohl to set a great example of how to be a great neighbor.  Wouldn’t expect anything less from the guy!

(Side note:  You may have noticed in that caption that Grohl’s barbecue now has an Instagram.  Grohl has been seen cooking up some barbeque in public forums multiple times this year, so it’ll be interesting to see what the future holds for Backbeat Barbeque as if the Foo frontman needs another side project.)
