As if the bill for ‘I Am The Highway: A Tribute To Chris Cornell‘ couldn’t get any better, it just did.
Rolling Stone reports that Josh Homme, Miley Cyrus, Fiona Apple, Chris Stapleton and Brandi Carlile will be performing at the tribute concert taking place tonight (January 16) at the Forum in Los Angeles. When first announced in November 2018, Foo Fighters, Metallica, Ryan Adams and members of Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave were confirmed for the show. Jimmy Kimmel will host the concert along with other “special guests,” who are yet to be confirmed, so it’s safe to assume those guests will remain surprises until tonight.
Proceeds from the tribute show will benefit the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation and the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation.
While the concert isn’t streaming anywhere, hopefully, it will be recorded in some shape or form for release at a later date. At the very least, many a fan in attendance will likely capture much of the night via cell phone video. In other words: You’ll want to check out YouTube tomorrow because there should be some interesting new uploads.
