Part of the fun of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is seeing who inducts the latest class. For Def Leppard this year, their inductor might be Queen’s Brian May.

Vivian Campbell spoke with Beth Simmons at 96.1 KLPX, and when asked about a rumor pertaining to who’s inducting Def Leppard, Campbell described the person, who he did not hame, as “a big fan of the band and a friend of the band for many, many decades” and as someone who was “really smart.”

As far as intelligent friends of Def Leppard go, they really don’t get much better than May, who has a doctorate in astrophysics and whose Twitter handle is @DrBrianMay.

Inductors are usually announced about a week or so before the ceremony, which is taking place Friday, March 29 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. So, fans will find out soon enough.
