37 years ago we lost an innovator and guitar legend when then Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Randy Rhoads was killed in a plane accident while on tour with Ozzy and band at the young age of 25. Randy’s style of combining classical, metal and his unique feel inspired decades of players to pick up the guitar and feel his magic.
Randy began his career in California and after being in a few local bands joined an early incarnation of Quiet Riot before auditioning for Ozzy where their chemistry was undeniable. He played on Ozzy’s two monster records “Blizzard Of Ozz” and “Diary Of A Madman”
His contribution is immeasurable and legacy will live on forever……
Could not let this day pass without remembering a monster talent…..
RIP Randy…
