Per the band's official website, the "S&M2" shows will be recorded for a concert film that will screen in over 3,000 theaters worldwide on October 9.
Theaters are still in the process of being secured for this screening event, but tickets tentatively set go on sale starting August 7. Fans interested in being notified about ticket information when it becomes available can sign up for alerts at Metallica.film.
