Alex Trebek Gets Emotional Over Jeopardy Contestant’s Answer

Yesterday’s Jeopardy! episode had a sweet moment. During the Final Jeopardy round, instead of giving the correct answer, contestant Dhruv Gaur wrote, “We love you, Alex.” He drew a heart to symbolize the word love.
Alex Trebek read the answer and then got visibly choked up. Afterward, he noticeably takes a few seconds to compose himself before moving on to the next contestants.
This is an especially heartwarming moment as Alex Trebek is currently undergoing his second round of chemotherapy for stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
