The Irishman has raked in a number of Golden Globe and Critics Choice nominations in the past couple of days, but some still haven't settled down to watch the Marin Scorsese film due to its 3 hours and 29-minute runtime. Fortunately, journalist Ken Sweeney has come up with a solution.
Sweeney has developed a way to view the film by breaking it up into four parts as if it were a mini-series and shared it via Twitter. "Episode one" runs for 49 minutes, while "episode two" runs for 51 minutes. "Episode three" clocks in at 67:30, and "episode 4" comes in at 41:30.
This is definitely a beneficial way to take in the film considering Variety recently reported that 13.2 million viewers watched The Irishman in its opening week on Netflix, but only 18% of viewers finished the film in one sitting. It's a unique finding, especially considering how popular it is to binge-watching hours and hours of television shows on streaming platforms.
