Elton John's "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" tour has hit a snag that has led to him to reschedule his remaining New Zealand tour dates.

Sir Elton has been forced to reschedule the final two dates of the New Zealand leg of his tour due to battling pneumonia. John even had to cut his show in Auckland short on Sunday (February 16) due to the illness. In a statement, John said, " I want to thank everyone who attended tonight’s gig in Auckland. I was diagnosed with walking pneumonia earlier today, but I was determined to give you the best show humanly possible. I played and sang my heart out, until my voice could sing no more. I’m disappointed, deeply upset and sorry. I gave it all I had. Thank you so much for your extraordinary support and all the love you showed me during tonight’s performance. I am eternally grateful. Love, Elton xx"

The "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" is expected to pick back up with the kickoff of its Australian leg on February 22 in Melbourne.
