National Work Zone Awareness Week 2020
Today (April 20) kicks off National Work Zone Awareness Week across the United States. The theme for 2020 is Safe Work Zones for All: Protect workers.
The graphic to promote what federal, state, and other agencies are doing in support of the safe work zones for all is reminiscent of the World War II poster with Rosie the Riveter.
NWZAW was launched to remind the public to drive safely in and around work zones at all times. New Jersey’s Department of Transportation (NJDOT) is on a mission to end work zone injuries and fatalities.
The state is offering a program online for individuals who are performing maintenance, construction, or traffic control on municipal roadways including: public works employees, and street superintendents.
