Singer/songwriter Don McLean first came on the scene in the early 1970's with his album Tapestry that gave us a hint of what was to come from him throughout his career - smart lyrics, crisp guitar playing, and a gifted singing voice.
Once American Pie exploded a short time later, Don's career took off on a meteoric path.
On May 1st, Don released 11 of his albums, 173 songs in all, digitally for the first time.
Don and Jim Monaghan first met in the mid-1970's and he called into WDHA to chat with Jim about what he's been up to lately.
