Stone Pony Summer Stage Postponed Until 2021
ASBURY PARK, NEW JERSEY – (June 1, 2020) – The Stone Pony, one of the world’s best-known music venues, today announced the 2020 Summer Stage series will be on hiatus this year and will be looking ahead to a strong 2021 season.
“The Stone Pony Summer Stage has become an integral part of the Jersey Shore, as well as an essential piece of the overall viability of The Stone Pony. As we will have to look to next year to bring back our outdoor series, we want to thank our amazing fans who have supported us in the recent months by visiting our online store as well as showing encouragement for new projects we may need to venture into. Let us always keep our hearts open to the healing power of music.” said Caroline O’Toole, General Manager of The Stone Pony.
The Stone Pony, a proud part of the Asbury Park community, has also tried in this time to serve others by hosting live streams to support local musicians, and launching several fund-raising campaigns for Asbury Park and the State of New Jersey. The Pony Hope By Design Contest was created to raise funds for the New Jersey Pandemic Fund. Additionally, The Stone Pony then provided iconic Pony marquee changes and photos for graduates, with all proceeds going towards the Asbury Park Dinner Table. There is also a billboard in the community stating “We are with Asbury Park”.
The Stone Pony and Summer Stage partner Live Nation Entertainment are already seeing a strong 2021 lineup taking form, which includes several rescheduled concerts previously slated for this summer, as well as new additions. For current ticketholder inquiries, please visit the Stone Pony website.
The Stone Pony wants to use this time to celebrate their Summer Stage fans and are asking that they share their photos of their favorite Summer Stage moments. Fans can submit their Stone Pony Summer Stage Selfies to [email protected]. Many of these images will then be turned into a Stone Pony video, to be released on July 4, 2020.
