Rock Candy

Tommy Lee has been working on his new album, ANDRO, for a number of years now, and fans can hear their first sneak peek with “Knock Me Down” and “Tops.”

Both rap tracks feature guest artists with Killvein on the industrial-infused “Knock Me Down” and Push Push on the beats-heavy “Tops.”

In an interview with Forbes, Lee said he first started working on the album about two years ago after taking about a year off following Motley Crue’s then-billed “Final Tour.” (Obviously, things changed in that department.)

“I actually wasn’t even working on an album. I was just like, ‘I’m just gonna make some music,'” said Lee. “I didn’t really think about it until I was like, ‘I have like 15 songs here.’ And it started to feel like something. I started to think in my mind, ‘This could be this really dope record.’ I started sequencing it, listening down to the way I think it sounds cool, the vibe, right? It was a little all over the place, which I like. Eclectically, style-wise I like that, going track to track to track. There’s nothing f*cking worse than hearing a record that sounds the same from the first track to the last track. I hate that.”

The fact that they sound completely different from one another is definitely one thing you can say about “Knock Me Down” and “Tops.” Both tracks can be heard below and feature an accompanying music video, both of which were directed by Fred Durst.

ANDRO is currently available for pre-order in multiple formats here and is due for release on October 16.
