Metallica Fans Name Greatest Song in Band’s Catalog
Metallica fans for the past month have been taking part in “Some Kind of Bracket,” a bracket challenge to determine which is the greatest song in the metal band’s catalog, and they’ve named a winner.
The band announced via Facebook, “The people have spoken and single song stands alone above the rest. Your champion is ~ drum roll please ~ ‘MASTER OF PUPPETS’!”
During “Some Kind of Bracket,” “Master of Puppets” battled and defeated a number of incredible songs including “Dyers Eve,” “Atlas, Rise!,” “Ride The Lightning,” “Sad But True,” “Fade To Black,” and “One” on its way to victory.
Metallica launched the bracket challenge back on May 28 starting with 64 songs that were selected and seeded based on Spotify plays multiplied by how many times a song’s been played live.
Fans took part in “Some Kind of Bracket” by voting in poll via the band’s Facebook and Instagram stories.
