Metallica Announces Second Round of COVID-19 Grants
Metallica is continuing their giving ways with the announcement of a second round of grants being awarded to various organizations and their COVID-19 support efforts.
In a statement, Metallica said, “We are truly overwhelmed by the generosity of fans and friends around the world as many continue to face unimaginable challenges in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic. Thanks to your contributions to our fundraisers during #MetallicaMondays, our #MonthOfGiving, and directly to our site, as well as a substantial donation from our friends at @salesforce, we’re excited to announce that #AWMH will be providing a second round of new grants totaling $295,000 to five organizations doing essential work during this difficult time.”
The statement continued and named the five organization receiving the grants: Feeding America, Direct Relief, LiveNation’s Crew Nation initiative supporting road crew workers, the Bartender Emergency Assistance Program (BEAP) and MusiCares.
In April, Metallica, through their All Within My Hands Foundation, awarded $350K in grants to Feeding America , Direct Relief, LiveNation’s Crew Nation and the United States Bartenders Guild’s National Charity Foundation.
