A 3.1 magnitude earthquake was detected in Freehold Wednesday morning (September 9) at around 2 am.

The USGS is reporting the depth of the quake to be about 3.1 miles. However, many people are saying it was felt much across central New Jersey.

Sheriff Shaun Golden of Monmouth County told ABC 7 that the sheriff's "received about 125 calls to 911 in 30 minutes" overnight.

No damage or injuries have been reported at this time.
