The Eddie Vedder solo instrumental track "Cartography" is now available for streaming.
The track, which was written for the 2018 documentary Return to Mount Kennedy, had been unavailable via streaming services until now. "Cartography" was released as part of Sub Pop's Single's Club Vol. 5 and can be heard below.
In addition to its release, "Cartography" also got the remix treatment from Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner, which can also be heard below. The remix notably features a portion of a speech Bobby Kennedy gave following the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.
In a statement on the remix, Vedder said, "Listening to the speech delivered by Bobby Kennedy in regards to the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. 50 years ago, you are reminded that once again we are at a moment in time when our society can and must do better. Voting is our most powerful form of nonviolent protest. And those whom we vote for must be made deeply aware that the issues of equality and justice in America are of the utmost importance and need to be not only restored but taken to the next level. NOW."
Both versions of "Cartography" are available for streaming/download via all major digital platforms here.
