WalletHub has released 2020’s Happiest States in America with New Jersey ranked at No. 4 following Hawaii, Utah, and Minnesota.

The company drew upon the findings of “happiness” to determine which environmental factors are linked to a person’s overall well-being and satisfaction.

“To determine where Americans exhibit the best combination of these factors, we examined the 50 states across 32 key metrics, ranging from the depression rate and the positive COVID-19 testing rate to income growth and the unemployment rate,” the WalletHub website states.

The unhappiest states in the country include Oklahoma, Arkansas, and West Virginia.
